“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.”
“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”
The transformation of any nation starts with disciplined people and justice and therefore character.

Character Aroma Project is a Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) registered in Uganda. The main aim of this charity is to transform Ugandan life through character-building and development. We hope this will create a culture of discipline in Uganda and result in tremendous benefits like happier homes, purposeful youths, responsible parents, a good reputation for Uganda on the international platform and thereby attracting more foreign investors and much more.
The transformation of any nation starts with disciplined people and justice and therefore character. Character is self-imposed discipline, a commitment to set of values without compromise. It is the foundation of all true success. Character not only attracts success towards us, but also sustains success in our lives. Character affects the quality of life, leadership and the entire economy.
A person is said to have character, if they have distinguishing moral qualities, moral virtues, and moral reasoning abilities. And aroma is a quality that is pervasive or spreads throughout. Our character, expressed through our words and actions, becomes the aroma in society, influencing it for righteousness.
"Nations must begin to realise that values that are not taught are not caught. Countries must begin to impact understanding of why they exist to their citizenry. Countries of our time and age must realise that teaching skills and professions in schools are not enough to build a great nation. Morals, ethics, values and virtues must become the most important parts of a national development programme." - Sunday Adelaja
We adopted the ‘Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices’ (KAP) model. Through our workshops and seminars, we will impart knowledge and skills. These will affect and change the attitudes of the people and then lead to positive changes in behaviour and thereby character.
CAP will encourage individuals to make a conscious effort to do things differently. This character aroma would then spread to the family, community and eventually the entire nation.
This book was birthed as a result of the pain I witnessed and also experienced as a single woman. My life evolved from desperation, to acceptance, peace with self and with God and finally fulfilment as a single woman. I therefore wish to share my life lessons with you and be a source of encouragement to many single ladies out there. This book also goes a long way to change the wrong perception of singleness and to help people to realise that singleness is one of the best gifts in life, with so many advantages that society is blinded to.
